About

40 years of packaging design experience with 20+ years of partnering with 100's of Marketing Teams across a wide portfolio of brands for successful learning in the innovation and development of new and existing brands.

Hello, I am Jon Eisel, a packaging designer specializing in innovation-driven concept development for consumer brands. I am widely experienced in translating early-stage ideas into believable, strategically aligned packaging concepts that support exploration, testing, and future portfolio growth.

I'm skilled at balancing creativity with research objectives by working closely with marketing teams to help identify the most meaningful variables for testing, and avoiding unnecessary details that can interfere with learning.

My strong illustration and visualization abilities allow for rapid development of exploratory concepts ranging from rough ideation to consumer-ready presentations.

I thrive in fast-paced environments requiring adaptability, strategic thinking, and efficient execution under tight timelines.

What partners say

I've worked with Jon over the past 20+ years across dozens of CPG projects and every kind of innovation challenge you can imagine, he has consistently done something that very few designers can — he makes ideas real before you even know exactly what they are. Jon has a unique creative gift, produces great work and is a joy to work with!
Janet Mann, General Mills
Jon is a terrific design partner for innovation work. He has consistently helped us bring concepts to life with the right balance of speed, polish, and specificity, and he was especially strong at absorbing feedback, refining details, and delivering prototypes that supported our deadlines and learning goals.
John Cowden, General Mills
Jon is the rare designer who thinks like a consumer researcher. His concept visuals land at exactly the right level of fidelity (believable enough to test, open enough to learn from) with an elegant consistency across concepts that lets you compare results with confidence. This is why I've brought him in for three different concept research projects and would do it again in a heartbeat. He's also efficient, reliable, responsive to feedback, and great with tight deadlines.
